Finkli is an AI assistant for accountants, bookkeepers and finance teams. Accountants upload their clients' documents, such as donation receipts and tax forms, and Finkli reads and checks them. This page explains what information we hold, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Finkli is run by Viter. For anything about your information, including access, corrections or deletion, write to devteam@viter.ai.
Two kinds of information
- Your account, if you are an accountant using Finkli: your name, email, password and how you use the app. We decide how this is used.
- Your clients' information: everything you or your clients upload. This belongs to you, the accountant, and you decide what is collected and why. We hold and process it only to provide Finkli to you, and for no other purpose. If you are an accountant's client, your accountant is the one responsible for your information; please contact them first. You can also write to us and we will pass your request on.
What we hold
- Account details: name, email address and password. Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), never in readable form.
- Client records and documents: client names, Israeli ID numbers, email addresses, donation receipts, tax and salary forms (such as Forms 106 and 867), annual statements, Bituach Leumi documents, the figures read from them, and your notes and decisions.
- Messages: the emails you send to clients through Finkli, and the files clients upload through their private link.
- Usage: which screens are opened, actions such as changing a label or exporting, and a record of each AI reading (what it was for, how long it took, what it cost). We use this to run, fix and improve the app. We do not use it for advertising.
How we use it
- To read and check documents, show totals and summaries, and prepare messages and exports.
- To send the emails and reminders you ask for.
- To keep the app secure, give support and fix problems.
- To measure and improve how accurately documents are read, for example by comparing the AI's reading with the corrections you make. We will not copy your clients' documents into our test material without your permission.
We do not sell information, and we do not use it for advertising.
The AI
Documents are sent to Anthropic's Claude to be read. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, information sent this way is not used to train its models. The AI suggests; you decide. Anything uncertain is shown to you, and nothing is approved or rejected without being visible to you.
Who else handles it
We use these service providers to run Finkli. Each handles information only to provide its service to us.
Your information is stored in the European Union (Germany) and is also processed in the United States by the providers above, under their data protection terms. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How we protect it
- Information is encrypted on its way to us and where it is stored.
- Each accountant can see only their own clients. This is enforced by the database itself, not only by the screens.
- A client's upload link is private and hard to guess, and it cannot show or download anything already sent.
- Only the few people who build and support Finkli can reach the stored data, and only when needed.
How long we keep it
We keep information while your account is open. You can delete files and receipts yourself at any time. To delete a whole client or close your account, write to us: we will delete the information within 30 days, including from backups.
Your rights
Under Israel's Privacy Protection Law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Write to devteam@viter.ai and we will reply within 30 days.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email accountants first.
